About Us
We’re a husband and wife team who love hammock camping, backpacking, day hiking, and kayaking across Tennessee and Kentucky. We’re happiest outdoors surrounded by nature, wildlife, and the sounds of summer nights. Living and working in Nashville makes us appreciate our weekends away even more, escaping the traffic, airplanes, and crowds in search of places where the only soundtrack is nature itself.
We started this blog because we kept forgetting the details that mattered to us: which sites had cell service, how much road noise there was, whether a spot worked well for hammocks, where campfires were allowed, how private it felt, and all the little things that can make or break a trip.
We’re primarily HipCampers, but we also enjoy state parks with hammock-friendly sites. This site is our personal field journal, less about assigning perfect scores and more about sharing experiences, sounds, photos, gear, and memories from the places we visit.
