We had a wonderful time camping at Hostetler Homestead! We’re hammock and tent campers, and while there weren’t trees suitable for hanging hammocks, we brought our hammock stand and set up comfortably behind the shed near the water spigot. This time I decided to set up my Durston x-Dome 1+ because it would be cooler on the ground.
The animals made the whole trip extra special. We loved playing with the goats, they were curious, playful, and super entertaining. And the cats were so sweet, especially Sparkles, who slept near us both nights like our personal campsite protector. 🐾
The property was clean and peaceful, and the host was welcoming. We had 1 bar 5G with AT&T on both iPhone and Android, so internet was no problem.
The property is located directly across the street from an outdoor shooting range, so keep that in mind. Also, the campsite is right next to their beautiful house. We never saw them unless they were driving away, so if you are looking for complete privacy keep that in mind.
If you’re looking for a relaxing stay with amazing views and with a touch of animal magic, this place is perfect. We’re already talking about coming back in the fall when it’s cooler. We can’t wait to see Sparkles, Cinnamon, and Kevin again.
