Peaceful Hills Retreat Bunny Burrows #10

🌳 Hammock Friendly: Maybe
🔥 Campfire Friendly: Yes

We have been to Peaceful Hills Retreat three times, staying in different locations. This review also applies to:

This HipCamp remains one of our favorites. The campground is remarkably quiet, with no traffic noise and not even airplane noise. As someone who lives near BNA, that kind of silence is a rare treat and one of the reasons we keep coming back.

The campsite is clean, spacious, and fully shaded, which kept us comfortable even during 90°F summer days. Each site includes a metal fire ring, picnic table, and dedicated parking spot. The port-a-potty was a bit questionable, which is why we always bring our own setup. And while there are trees throughout the campground, not every site is hammock-friendly, so we recommend bringing a hammock stand just in case.

During the day, we were surrounded by birdsong, and at night a few armadillos wandered through camp, rustling around in the leaves. There are plenty of level spots for tents, but despite the number of trees, none were quite right for hanging our hammock, so we were glad we brought a stand.

Overall, this is a peaceful, private retreat that we keep returning to year after year, and we already know we'll be back again.
