HipCamp 'Howlin' Hills' Campground
This is a great spot if you’re bringing a kayak, canoe, or raft. The campsites sit right along the river, making it easy to launch your boat just a few steps from camp. There is also plenty of room for parking.
The sites are well laid out, with flat ground and enough space between them that neighboring campers shouldn’t be an issue. Site 2 has a few trees that work well for a single hammock setup.
The biggest drawback is the road noise. Traffic can be fairly loud at times, so if you’re looking for complete peace and quiet, this may not be the best fit. It was peaceful at times, and you can hear the river. The river was flooded when we were there, so there wasn't much traffic on it.
The host was friendly, cheerful, and quick to respond when we needed firewood. Purchasing firewood was easy, with multiple payment options available.
