HipCamp Belle and Beau Acres,#4 Hike In

🌳 Hammock Friendly: Yes
🔥 Campfire Friendly: Yes

This is a beautiful and thoughtfully designed campground with several short but steep trails to explore throughout the property. We walked through all of the campsites and were impressed by the attention to detail. Each site had its own unique seating area and a well-built fire pit with custom cooking grates.

We stayed at Walk In Site 4, which sits directly along the river. The bubbling water provided a peaceful soundtrack throughout our stay, and the site itself was spacious with soft ground that was ideal for tent camping.

As hammock campers using two Haven XL hammocks, finding suitable trees was a little more challenging than expected. While there are plenty of trees throughout the campground, we found only a couple of locations that worked for our setup. Campers using smaller gathered-end hammocks should have no trouble finding suitable hangs, and an Amok Draumr would fit the available trees as well.

Our only minor drawback was occasional highway noise from I-40. Depending on the wind direction and seasonal leaf cover, you may hear traffic at times. We visited in the fall when many of the leaves had already dropped, which may have contributed to the sound carrying farther.

The hosts were friendly, responsive, and quick to answer questions. The property is beautiful, private, and clearly cared for. Overall, this is an excellent campground and one we would happily recommend.
